Induction

It's funny how your opinions change once you are actually in a situation. This entire pregnancy I have been pretty adamant about not wanting to induce, and letting this little girl come on her own time, but my how my tune has changed.

Last week at our 37 week check up I asked Dr. Doke what would happen if we elected to induce, well he jumped at the chance to tell me that he we could safely induce on Dec. 2nd and put an expiration date on this pregnancy. At first I was a little shocked that he was so willing to induce, but it makes sense to some degree from a Dr's perspective...its a much more controlled environment, however it may make labor longer.

Dave and I went back and forth trying to decide if we wanted to schedule the induction, and we have decided YES! If she hasn't made her way into the world by Wed Dec. 2nd at 5am(only 5 days before my actual due date), then we want to get the show on the road, and will be checking into the hospital.

I am not a patient person as most of you know, and given the opportunity to meet her sooner rather than later, well I am taking it, and I don't feel bad or selfish...I think she is ready to meet us too. I want to hold her in my arms so bad, it makes my heart ache.

We have another appointment today at 1:30...I'll post an update if we get any news.
