What a difference a day makes!

Well, it turns out I am pregnant again! We were SHOCKED and totally SURPRISED, but after a week or so to get used to the idea we are very excited. It was so hard to conceive Fay that we never dreamed we would be blessed with a surprise pregnancy. One that didn't require charting and insane scheduling, so we feel very blessed.

Here is how it all went down...A few weeks ago I was feeling weird so I decided to take a pregnancy test just for kicks, both came back negative. So I really didn't give it much more thought. But on Friday March 19th I was still feeling nauseated so I decided to take one more just to make double sure. I was on my way out the door to have lunch my good friend Toffee when I decided to check the test, it had been like 3 hours since I peed on the stick, I was in no hurry to see what it said because I was sure it was negative. But when I looked down I saw a big plus sign staring back at me. I didn't know what to do...so I tried to call Dave but he was on a run with his buddies so I just went to lunch and didn't have time to think about the life changing moment that had just occurred. However I did leave several panicked messages for Dave on his cell phone.

In the meantime I finished lunch and called Emily to tell her the news. I had to because I needed her to watch Fay while I went to the Dr to get the pregnancy confirmed. She was SO excited to hear the news as she is expecting and due in July, and we are best friends. Dave finally called me back while I was on my way out of the Dr. I picked up the phone and he said "What the hell is going on" and all I could blurt out is "I'm Pregnant!" There was a long pause and then he said "But you can't be pregnant" to which I replied "Well if you have sex then you can be." He was FLOORED. And just kept saying "I can't believe this."

We met at the house and waited for the Dr to call back with my test results. That afternoon at 3pm they called to say I was indeed pregnant and everything looked great! I am about 8 weeks and due November 11th. They will be 11 months apart. We will need a lot of prayers! The whole family is shocked and really happy...2010 is going to be a big year. I went to bed on Thursday and thought my life was one way, and on Friday we found out that the entire course of our family had changed...life is what happens when you are making other plans.

Fay is doing wonderfully. She is all personality. Here are some pics from the ranch:

Mommy Bliss

I don't know if I really want to post this entry for fear that I will jinx the goodness that has been happening in the Joyner household, but I do think I need to brag a little on my sweet Fay. First of all she slept 12 hours straight last night, from 8-8 and it was joyous. She sleeps through the night consistently these days, and has been doing this for about 3 weeks. No early morning feedings, no middle of the night crying. She is turning into a true Wallace, and starting to not only like sleep but demand it.

The other really fun thing is that when she is ready to get up she doesn't cry she just rolls over from her tummy to her back and starts "talking." And boy can she talk up a storm...I know it must be very surprising to you guys that my child is verbal. But it is the cutest thing, and she has started laughing. Big belly laughs when she thinks something is funny, which is HILARIOUS. The sounds that have been filling our house in recent weeks have been pure delight.

She has also started to really pay attention to Harper. You can tell she is very interested in him, and they have even begun interacting a little bit. She gets a really surprised look on her face every time he licks her with his huge tongue which is the size of her head! I can't wait to see how their little friendship progresses. Fay has never known life without the big yellow dog around.

Dave also got a new Ford 150 2010 truck. We hit a deer on the way to the ranch 2 weekends ago and totaled the jeep. Man that car was tough and didn't go down without a fight, but we are all REALLY happy with the new ride. Harper has already test driven the bed, and loves it :)

Fay has turned this amazing corner and every day with her is new and exciting. GOD IS SO GOOD. IT IS THROUGH CHRIST'S GRACE THAT WE HAVE THE WONDERFUL AND AMAZING PRIVILEGE OF BEING FAY'S PARENTS
