What we are into lately

It's been almost a year since I last posted.  Life has been so good, and I am afraid I am going to forget everything that the kids are into if I don't start blogging again.

Here's a list of what Fay is into:
-Picking out her own clothes.  She loves three shirts, her Rangers, Cameo, and Pumpkin shirts
-Dinosaurs!  She is T-Rex for Halloween.  Her Nana and Umpa got her a set of dinos and she knows all their names.
-Nastics or Gymnastics
-She loves bikes and REALLY wants one for Christmas.  I hope Santa gets the message to bring her one.
-She loves to play cars, or car crashes.
-Hide and seek
-She thinks Willa is SO funny and they love being together
-Being the Dr and healing all of her lovies (stuffed animals)
-Golf with Daddy
-Watching sports with Daddy.  Basically anything that Daddy thinks is cool...Fay thinks is awesome

Here's a list of what Willa is into:
-Dressing up!  Princesses and anything else that is make believe.
-Playing babies
-She is obsessed with her Pacifier and I am really not looking forward to taking it away.
-Potty.  She wants to potty train so bad, but Mommy is not ready to potty train :)
-Being outside (this goes for them both)
-BOOKS.  Willa could care less about TV but wants to sleep with her books.  Total bookworm already
-Talking
-Singing
-Getting into her car seat by herself
-Airplanes!  She is one for Halloween

Other than the kids who keep us pretty busy...we have bought an old house in old Midland that we are starting Rehab on Nov 5.  For the past two months we have been working with our INCREDIBLE architects at the Vandergriff Group to finalize a floor plan and make sure we are getting our dream house!  We expect to be here for a very long time.  Meanwhile we will stay in our house until the new house is finished, which we expect to be sometime this summer.  We can't wait to be in and have everything be our taste!

Pics before demo coming soon.

Life Moves Really Fast...

So I haven't been blogging...the blog had become a chore, a checklist item, and not a place to put my memories of life.  But I feel like trying to recap a little and start updating again.  Because Willa and Fay are starting to really crack us up and I don't want to forget what life is like with two little bitty people.

Recap:

Since Christmas things have been mostly about traveling.  Because we had kids back to back we didn't get out much...well we have started to make up for it. Here is a list of where we have been.  This is mostly for us just so we don't forget.

Dec 2011-D&K Bachelor Gulch, CO; Skiing
Jan 2012-D&K Austin Trip; Dave knife skills class and catch up with friends
Feb 2012-K to DC; Awesome Visit with Anna
-Steers and Stars (black tie charity event) with the Rogers, awesome night.
March 2012-D& K Deer Valley, UT; Skiing with the Davenports and Rogers.
-K Las Vegas, NV; Celebrating Shan's 30th with Carrie, Anne, Shan and Haley
-K Brownwood, TX; Girls weekend to Emily's Lakehouse
April 2012-Family to Albany, TX; Polo on the Priarie with the Fikes and Musselman's
-Gigi Kathryn's health is really starting to detreriorate
May 2012-K to LA for 30th Bday
-May 17th Gigi Kathryn passes away the day after my birthday.
-Family to LA for Memorial weekend.

Willa has become this amazing and hysterical person.  Fay continues to amaze us with her outgoing personality and sheer joy for life.  They have become very protective of each other and love kicking me out and playing "alone" in their rooms together.  They are the best of buddies.

Fay is a total water bug...she jumps into the pool, jumps off the diving board, and motors around the pool with ease in her puddle jumper.  Willa is also a fish but only likes it where she can touch. She too will jump off the edge and we have spent a HUGE amount of time at the pool.  Fay's favortie shows are Little Bear and Bolt.  Willa likes Seasame Street and that's about it.  They both love to read and still love bath time.

As for Dave and I...well we are both just enjoying this phase.  Things have started to get a little eastier with the kids and we are loving their independence!
