So...I have been very delinquent in posting our exciting news. I wanted to post the awesome 3d pics we have from our sonogram, but I keep forgetting to scan them in, so I thought I better go ahead and update without them.
We had our sonogram a couple of weeks ago and many of you know that we are having a girl. When we went in this time she still didn't want to wake up and move around for us much, even though I drank a huge coke before we went in, and Dave made the comment that "Maybe she has ADD like me and caffeine doesn't affect her," I really hope he is wrong.
But...because she wasn't moving around much our sonogram lasted longer, until we could get a good shot in between the legs, and I love every minute I get with her on screen. Once we were able to get a good look at the "goods" the Dr. slipped it to 3d and we were able to see how our sweet baby girl is doing, at one point she appeared to be sucking her thumb, which they do sometimes in the womb. We also noted that she has all her fingers and toes and looks to be developing just perfectly! Technology is a wonderful thing, and I am grateful that we had a chance to spend a full 30 mins with her, in her world.
Dave and I were both getting teary eyed when she did announce that she was indeed a she...it was such a surreal moment. And many of you have been asking about names. We aren't sure about the full name but we do know that we will call her Fay...after my grandmother Mary Fay.
Our life is already changing a great deal as this pregnancy becomes more of a reality. I am definitely showing and wearing only maternity clothes, and we are going to start cleaning out her room this weekend, which we have been using for storage since we moved in. It will be nice to spend a long weekend at home. Belly pics will hopefully be coming later this week.
